Health & Well-being
The objective of A PLUS Youth Program is to help student-athletes achieve their personal best. Each participant is expected to abstain from drugs, alcohol, violence, and other unhealthy activities. A PLUS promotes good nutrition and helps members develop general life and social skills.
Every member is required to attend the A PLUS health and well-being clinics.
Leadership Development
One goal of the A PLUS Youth Program is to develop leaders on and off the basketball court. A PLUS members are expected to strive to be the best they can be, do what is asked of them, maintain a positive attitude and treat others with respect. A commitment to this policy will foster exceptional character.
Every member is required to attend A PLUS leadership clinics.
Community Service
The community service portion of the A PLUS program is intended to strengthen participants’ sense of civic engagement and social responsibility. Twenty hours of community service is required by every A PLUS member.
Throughout the program year, A PLUS Youth Program coordinators will organize and participate in community service activities.
